Odie

Odie is a 2-year-old, 55-pound Pointer mix with a sweet personality, playful spirit, and a whole lot of love to give! This affectionate boy is everyone's best friend and a bit of a couch potato who also loves a good adventure. He's happiest spending time with his people, whether that's playing outside, visiting the dog park, or snuggling on the couch.

Odie has spent the past year in a busy household with children of all ages and has been wonderful with them. He's playful, interactive, and loves making new friends, both human and canine! He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and enjoys stuffed toys, chew toys, and treat puzzles. He's also a bit of a talker and will bark when he sees other dogs walking by.

This smart boy is house-trained and has had some obedience training. He's not crate-trained but does well having free rein of the house, even when left alone for several hours. He has some digestive sensitivities that have improved with a change in food.

One thing to know about Odie is that he's quite the escape artist! He's learned to jump a 4-foot fence (sometimes using nearby furniture for a boost!) and loves to run over to greet other dogs. He also enjoys chasing rabbits and squirrels. His new home will need a tall, secure fence and supervision outdoors to keep him safe.

Odie's ideal home would be with an active family or individual who can provide plenty of exercise, attention, and companionship. He'd love opportunities to socialize with other dogs and be included in everyday activities.
